The Toronto 4-piece delivers hot hooks and electrifying lyrics on sex, politics, culture, and the body with aggressive prowess. Formed in 2021 through fierce whips and intense roller derby bouts, Shiv and The Carvers are making their presence known while tapping their skates to the Riot Grrrl greats like Hole, Bikini Kill, and Veruca Salt.

Graduates of Exclaim’s Class of 2024 series, Shiv and The Carvers have been busy recording new music, sharing the stage with punk rock incendiaries Lambrini Girls and Canadian alt rock icon Bif Naked, and were handpicked to perform at Toronto’s tastemaker festival, Project Nowhere, this October.
